Classes & Options

Building Blocks Cooperative Preschool offers flexible options for our mountain children between 18 months and 5 years old, and a few different scheduling options for parents.  Each class is overseen by a credentialed teacher, assistant teacher and between 3 and 5 parents.  Exceptions to age cut-offs are made on a case-by-case basis.

Teacher Nicole's TTH

Tuesday / Thursday from 8:30-12:30am

Ages: 2-4 yrs

Must be 2 by September 2

Teacher Nicole's Class is all about learning to play! This class is about play dough, sand castles, slime, art, glitter projects, bubbles in the yard, listening to stories, and learning to be part of a class group.  Children do not need to be potty trained for this class.

Parent Observation Option: Children older than 18 months are eligible to come with a parent or caregiver and take part in all the daily activities of our Tuesday/Thursday class, learning from the parents and teachers. Toddlers will begin to learn social skills, gain trust in other adults, and embark on fostering friendships with their peer group. Families in this special program are not required to participate in the cooperative aspects of Building Blocks, but are welcome to attend all community events.  When the child has been enrolled at least 6 weeks and is two years old, the teacher and parent will discuss transitioning to full enrollment if space is available.

Afternoon Recreation

Bird Icon

Afternoon programing varies by year.    We are often able to coordinate classes offered by partners after preschool classes end at 12:30.  Past classes have included sports camp, gymnastics, music, and robotics.

2021 will be different!  Hopefully we can work with our partners to get our afternoon outdoor recreations programs back at Building Blocks.
